Presenter: Simge Karakış, Software Design Engineer & Scrum Master, Orion Innovation.

Abstract: Lately, the Internet of Things has been a popular research area within academia as well as in the industry. IoT technology has been widely adopted in industry with a variety of applications. Home automation systems (HAS) which help homeowners to manage their devices remotely are one of these applications. However, smart homes are vulnerable to various network-based attacks. Another important threat in HAS is that it is possible to leak the private information of homeowners. In this project, we proposed a secure and privacy-preserving solution for home automation systems. Bio: Simge Karakış is a Software Designer in Orion Innovation Turkey since 2021.
