Bio:
Kıvılcım Duruk was born in Ankara on 1971, graduated Bornova Anatolian High School, achieved bachelor of architecture degree from Middle East Technical University and received her master of science in İ.Y.T.E. She taught basic design, architectural design studio and history of architecture courses as a part-time instructor in Eskişehir Anadolu University and Bilkent University. She has four years international construction experience in large-scale buildings in Russia, constructed tobacco facility plants, shopping malls and Shremetyevo airport, which are design and built projects.

She has a number of awards in national and international architectural competitions. Currently, she is working as a freelance architect and also as a part-time instructor in the Department of Architecture, in Gazi University.
