Summer School Individual Study Courses FAQ

Do I qualify to take an Individual Study course in the Summer School?

In order to qualify to take an Individual Study course in the Summer School, you must satisfy all of these criteria:

  1. There must be a single remaining course to fulfill all curriculum requirements for graduation. This must be a for-credit course. It may be a must course or an elective course.
  2. You must have taken this course in the Fall or Spring semester of the current academic year.
  3. You must have failed the course with an F or FX grade. If you have taken this course in both semesters, only the most recent grade is considered. If you have failed the course with an FZ grade, you do not qualify.
  4. If this course is repeated and passed with a grade A, you must be able to graduate. In other words, when the F/FX grade is replaced with an A, your CGPA must be at least 2.00.
  5. The single remaining course you have to take must not be offered in the Summer School as a regular Summer School course. In the case of a remaining elective requirement, there must be no course offered in the Summer School that can be taken to satisfy this elective requirement.
  6. You must have applied via SRS to take an Individual Study course in the Summer School by 16:30 on 3 June 2022, Friday
