Abstract: Boran will give information about the unique setting of interpreting for television. Coupled with that, he will dwell on the specific skill sets needed to manage incoming information. He will talk about the importance of prioritisation of ideas during live broadcasts. His presentation will also entail technological limitations and opportunities of media interpreting, other roles that might be assumed by interpreters in this capacity, and stress management.

Short Bio: Boran was born on May 14 1997. After he graduated from Pera Fine Arts High School, Theatre Department, he completed his undergraduate study at Yeditepe University, Translation Studies and Political Science and International Relations Departments. Since 2020, he has been working as a foreign correspondent and broadcast interpreter at CNN Türk. Between 2016-2021, he worked as a camp coach and director at “Geleceğin Yıldızları”. In 2018 and 2019, he interned at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate of Translation and Political Affairs, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
