Training on Conflict Analysis – Cognitive-Affective Mapping Method

Would you like to participate in a training in the field of conflict analysis and resolution where you understand the dynamics of conflicts better? Do you know how experts analyze conflicts and develop conflict resolution tools? Would you like to understand why you experience conflicts with some people and do something about it? Would you like to better understand social and political conflicts? If you are interested in these questions, come join us for a free training on conflict analysis. This training will take place in a workshop held at Bilkent University and will introduce a new method called cognitive-affective mapping (CAM) to analyze conflicts.

You will be asked some questions about conflicts in the beginning of the workshop. Then two experts on conflict analysis and resolution will present the CAM method developed for conflict analysis. Participants will have the chance to apply this method to a conflict of their choice. The training will be offered by Dr. Esra Cuhadar from Bilkent University and Dr. Steve Mock from University of Waterloo, Canada.

Participation in this training is free of charge. You may receive 30 GE points. We will ask you to fill in a survey at the end of the training asking questions about your thoughts on the CAM method.

This training will be offered first time in Turkey. It was offered in Canada before. There will be two sessions due to limited number of participation. First session will be held on 7 December 2019 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Second one will take place on 8 December 2019 again between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm.
