Abstract:
“Beyond the Visual: Integrating Acoustics for Holistic Design” explores the critical role of acoustics in creating functional, comfortable, and engaging spaces. This presentation highlights how sound influences our experience of architecture and emphasizes the need for architects and designers to consider acoustics as an integral part of their design process. Through real-world case studies, it demonstrates the practical applications of acoustic design in various building types, showcasing how thoughtful sound management can enhance usability and occupant satisfaction. By addressing common challenges, such as noise in residential, retail, and public spaces, and presenting innovative solutions, the presentation aims to inspire professionals to design with sound in mind, creating environments that are not only visually stunning but also acoustically optimized.
