- Visiting Assistant Professor Position
Bilkent University Department of Mathematics invites applications for a visiting position at the level of assistant professorship. The visiting position is initially for one or two years and exceptional candidates can then apply for a permanent position upon mutual consent. Applicants are expected to complement the ongoing research activities of the department. At present the topics studied in the department cover algebra, algebraic geometry, algebraic topology, analysis, differential geometry, mathematical physics and number theory. Applicants working in areas of mathematics not covered by the department members may also be considered depending on the strength of the applicant and on his/her leadership potential to start a new research group.
Bilkent is a private university located close to city center of Ankara with a pleasant campus and an international faculty. The language of learning is English. Our academic year consists of two semesters and the course load is two courses per semester. University provides free furnished on campus lodging where you pay only your own utility expenses.
