Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘The Conversation’ is the next offering from Bilkent Cinematics, on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Made in 1974, this movie follows surveillance expert Harry Caul (Gene Hackman) as he watches a young couple he is certain are supposed to be murdered. But is he right or wrong? Harry is one of cinema’s most enigmatic characters, and the film is a brilliant reflection of a deeply sad man and also a highly paranoid culture (post-Watergate USA).
Coppola’s extraordinary film won the 1974 Palm d’Or at Cannes and features several of his favourite actors, including ‘Godfather’ stars Robert Duvall and John Cazale, as well as Coppola regular Harrison Ford.
‘The Conversation’ screens on Wednesday, November 8, at 6 p.m. in FFB05. All Cinematics movies are shown with subtitles, and snacks and refreshments are offered. Everyone is welcome. For more details contact Hossein Dabir at firstname.lastname@example.org
