Abstract: Fusion systems are an active research topic and naturally appear in finite group theory, algebraic topology, and representation theory. This workshop aims to provide an introduction to fusion systems with an algebraic point of view. The workshop will feature lectures by Matthew Gelvin (Bilkent University) and Sune Precht Reeh (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona). As a prerequisite a graduate course in group theory is sufficient.
