You are cordially invited to the exhibition, “A Vision of a Capital City: Jaussely’s Ankara” to be held between March 12 and April 5, 2020 at Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum. The exhibition presents the unrealized story of the “Capital” Ankara during the Early Republican Period of Turkey dwelling upon 1927 Competition on Master Planning of Ankara through the professional career of French architect-urbanist Léon Jaussley. The exhibit makes use of little-known plans, drawings and documents till today pertaining to the contemporary urban culture, architecture and planning within the context of second master plan of Ankara.
The international panel, following the ‘The Exhibition’, “Léon Jaussely and Ankara in the Early Republican Period” will underline Jaussely’s approach and evidently will highlight ‘1927 Competition’ on March 20, 2020 at Erimtan Museum.
