Time, Place: 12:30, FFB-06
Copenhagen has been facing an unprecedented population rise and demographical change due to its developing economy thanks to financial investments in not only to job-creating opportunities but also to the city’s built environment since 1990s. Now the challenge is how to facilitate a sustainable social mix of diverse households by designing/re-designing housing environments.
N. Burak Bican got his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at METU and worked as a professional architect. He studied for a PhD on sustainable social housing regeneration at METU and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He currently works at Danish Building Research Institute as a Post-doc researcher.
