MATH Seminar: “Almost Everywhere Convergence of Cesaro Means With Varying Parameters of Walsh-Fourier Series”, Ushangi Goginava, 4:00PM November 15 (EN)

You are cordially invited to the Analysis Seminar organized by the Department of Mathematics.

Speaker: Ushangi Goginava (United Arab Emirates University)

“Almost Everywhere Convergence of Cesaro Means With Varying Parameters of Walsh-Fourier Series”

Abstract: In the present talk we discuss:
1) The almost everywhere convergence of subsequences of Cesaro means with zero tending parameters of Walsh-Fourier series.
2) The problem concerning almost everywhere divergence of Cesaro means with varying parameters of the Walsh-Fourier series. More precisely, we prove that no matter how slowly (alpha_n) sequence tends to zero, an integrable function will be found for which Cesaro means with varying parameters of Walsh-Fourier series is divergent almost everywhere.
