Bio:
Ayesha has a PhD in clinical psychology from the Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi, Pakistan. She is a trained clinical psychologist and provides psychotherapy for management and treatment of depression, anxiety, and relational issues. She currently works as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Department of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts, School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS) at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. Her research interests are centered on interdisciplinary exploration and investigation of environmental factors and their impact on mental health challenges faced by people. Based on this interplay, her current projects are focused on the domain of Urban Mental Health, researching the role of housing conditions, urban density and living conditions in impacting mental health (depression, stress and anxiety) of women residing in low income settlements.
