BASEBALL 101: An Introduction to the Game
** Baseball and American Culture: An Interdisciplinary Event Series **
Throughout the spring semester, the Department of American Culture and Literature, the Department of English Language and Literature, and the Program in Cultures, Civilizations, and Ideas will organize and sponsor an interdisciplinary event series entitled “Baseball and American Culture.”
The first event of this series — “BASEBALL 101: An Introduction to the Game” — will take place on Thursday, February 9 at 18:00 in the V-01 Amphi. This event will include a multimedia presentation of the basics of baseball with a Q&A session to follow. No prior baseball knowledge is necessary — and all are welcome to attend! Refreshments will be served.
Other events in this series will be held on Thursday, February 23 (Baseball and History); Thursday, March 16 (Baseball and the Arts); Thursday, March 30 (Baseball’s Opening Day); and Thursday, May 4 (Baseball and Film).
