This talk will cover the mission, structure and function of the United States’ preeminent civil liberties organization as well as its current challenges.
Pamela S. Katz, J.D. is a Professor Emerita at Russell Sage College in Troy, New York and a Visiting Professor in Bilkent Unverstity’s Law Faculty. She is a two-time Fulbright Scholar (2012-13, Vietnam (Vietnam National University); 2021, Turkey (Bilkent University) with a research expertise in civil rights and civil liberties. Before moving into academia, she worked for the New York Civil Liberties Union as its Assistant Legislative Director and, after that, the Executive Director of its Capital Region Chapter.
