“On counting solutions to Diophantine equations with restricted variables”
Abstract: During the talk I will survey my research interests, which include additive problems in sparse sets, primes in arithmetic progressions, the circle method, Linnik’s dispersion method, applications of sieve methods, representations as sum of squares, integral points on curves and varieties. I will try to focus on the techniques applied as they often come from more less adjacent areas, i.e. harmonic analysis, arithmetic geometry and probability.
