Abstract:
The need for high pace innovation and massive investments for “green technologies” are broadly accepted facts among scientists as well as industry experts. This is especially true for the Transportation Industry, where the “Green Premium” is the highest. The growing deployment and penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) has substantially raised the investments in battery technology , which is a critical component of e-mobility: the race is on between China and Japan. Tesla had and has so far the biggest impact in revolutionizing the EV industry, with a broad range of innovations and upbeat approach . In recent years, this pace of innovation is swapped over to 2-wheel and 3-wheel EVs. The rapid deployment so far in a shared-mobility setup was massively enabled with EV technology and with an ecosystem approach involving policy makers, infrastructure investors, software and IoT (Internet of Things) as well as EV companies (a lot of them startups). The future of mobility will be “Shared, Autonomous and Driverless”.
