Bilkent University celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye with great enthusiasm and delight. On the morning of October 28, students, faculty, staff, alumni and families came together for the Republic Run which reached 350 participants from all age groups and covered the 1,923-meter track between the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (FMPA) and the stadium. Bilkenters also gathered for the Lantern Parade later in the evening where almost 3,000 people walked together along the route of East Campus – FMPA – Atatürk Monument.
On Sunday, October 29, Bilkent Schools in Ankara, BLIS, Özel Bilkent, and Music Preparatory School, celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Republic at ODEON with a special program.
The 100th Anniversary Concert of the Republic, performed by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra on the same evening, attracted considerable attention from the audience and gave voice to the Republic Day delight spreading throughout the country.
