Kemal Yıldız of the Department of Economics has recently been recognized by the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).
Dr. Yıldız has received TÜBİTAK Incentive Award for 2022, for his outstanding work in the fields of economic theory in the areas of game theory and mechanism design, boundedly rational choice, and fair assignments.
The TÜBİTAK Incentive Award is given to scientists under the age of 40 who have demonstrated the potential to provide outstanding contributions to science at an international level.
Dr. Yıldız graduated from Bilkent University, Department of Economics in 2006. He wrote his master’s thesis in the same department under the supervision of Prof. Semih Koray in 2008. After completing his PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. Ariel Rubinstein at New York University in 2013, he joined Bilkent University Department of Economics.
Kemal YILDIZ, who received Marie Curie Research Support from the European Union in 2019 for his joint studies with Princeton University, is the recipient of the 2020 Academy of Science Young Scientists Award (BAGEP).
