Dr. John O’Dwyer, who served as the Director of English Language Preparatory Program (1996-2015), a member of the Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, and General Coordinator of İ.D.V. Private Bilkent Schools, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. As a long-time and beloved member of the Bilkent family, Dr. O’Dwyer will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
We extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and students as well as to the entire Bilkent University community.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Karşıyaka Cemetery at 1 p.m. and a memorial ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at the Bilkent Concert Hall.
Shuttles will depart for the funeral at 12:15 p.m. from the East Campus Bilintur (across the building) and in front of the Rectorate Building B-Block.
