Computer Technology and Information Systems (CTIS) department’s first place systems development honor for the 2015-2016 academic year has been awarded to IMEP team among thirteen senior project teams.
The project team members Ali Can Albayrakoğlu, Hüseyin Enes Yıldız, Elvan Can Başaran and Deniz Şahin have been advised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyid Amjad Ali.
IMEP is a mobile application that is available for Android and iOS platforms which controls M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication over cloud services. In IMEP, the collected sensor data (like temperature and humidity) is pushed to the cloud service and the mobile application reads it. IMEP application gathers data from the cloud services and visualizes it to make it more understandable for end users by using various types of graphs. It also holds the historical data and enables querying it. Therefore, end users are able to make predictions by considering the collected historical data. IMEP allows end-users to see the real-time sensor data in a graphical way and enables users to notice the periodic errors and chronic bugs by comparing and contrasting real-time data with the previously collected data. Unexpected sensor data value fluctuations are also reported to application user via notification.
