Our Faculty of Law Students represented Bilkent in national and international competitions and returned with awards.
Faculty of Law students Melek Akbulut, Gül Su Bulut, Birge Mine Gümüş and Yağız Barış Özel won first prize in the oral rounds of the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karayalçın Second Moot Court Competition, which was organized by the European Law Students Association (ELSA) Ankara. In addition, the petitions that these students wrote on the resolution of a hypothetical dispute based on international trade and arbitration were awarded the highest score among all petitions.
The Bilkent Faculty of Law team composed of Elif Sıla Taşlıçay, Doğa Günaydın, Yağmur Gündoğdu, Yusuf Ceritoğlu, Hatice Seferoğlu and Necati Kerim Belviranlı won second prize at the 7th Future Arbitration Counsel Moot organized by the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) and Young ISTAC. The moot court competition includes two stages of written submissions and oral hearings and is known as the largest of its kind. Seventy-one teams of law students from different law faculties in Turkey took part in the competition.
