The Career and Alumni Office held its first Speed Networking session of the semester, bringing third- and fourth-year students together with Bilkent University alumni from various sectors and companies.
The event, which was held in the Main Library Art Gallery, created an opportunity for students to engage in networking and make effective connections with Bilkent’s alumni; 20 students and 20 alumni met each other in a series of three-minute exchanges. Following this “speed dating” segment, all participants mingled and enjoyed refreshments while continuing to exchange ideas and information.
The Career and Alumni Office plans to implement three more Speed Networking sessions during the current academic year, in the hope that such a format will not only help students as they begin to investigate career possibilities, but also strengthen the alumni–student– university relationship.
