On Monday, May 30, 2022, at 3:30 p.m., a ceremony for faculty and administrative staff was held at the Bilkent Concert Hall to provide information on recent changes in the university administration.
The meeting began with a mini-concert by the Bilkent Quintet.
Board of Trustees President Prof. Gülsev Kale next took the stage to express the Board’s gratitude to Prof. Atalar, who has served as Bilkent’s rector since 2010, “for his work carried out with merit and superior success in line with the aims, mission and vision of our University.”
The ceremony continued with Prof. Atalar’s speech on “Bilkent: Past to Present” and his thanks to colleagues and the university staff, and concluded with the new Rector Prof. Kürşat Aydoğan’s presentation on the current state of the university, introduction of the new Vice Rectors and the new administration’s plans for the future.
